NOV 2 - NOV 11, 2012 ~ MENDOCINO COUNTY Mendocino County is home to more than 3,000 mushroom varieties, including the rare candy cap mushroom with its intense maple syrup flavor and sweet fragrance that grows only along the northern coast of California. With mushroom dinners, wine- and beer-pairing workshops, cooking classes, musical performances, exhibits, guided mushroom foraging there is something for everyone during this magical season of mushrooms. Events take place throughout the County, from the coast to the inland valleys.

	NOV 1- 30 ~ Mushroom Exhibits Ford House Exhibits, MENDOCINO. Mushrooms will be the focus at the Ford House in November with a month long exhibit featuring mushroom natural history. A show of photographer Laura House's close up images of our local fungi will add brilliant illustration to this exhibit. 	NOV 2-11 ~ Ride & Mushroom Hunt Join the mushroom round-up on our Mushroom Hunt horseback rides every day during the festival. Choose among rides of different lengths (1.5, 3, 4, and all day; priced accordingly). We also offer Equine and Wine packages including horseback riding, lodging, and wine tours (prices vary); trips are catered to each groups needs. NOV 3 ~ From Forest to Table 10:30am-3pm, Stanford Inn by the Sea A Wild Mushroom Ecological and Gastronomical Experience Join nutritionist Sid Garza-Hillman, the creative team at the Ravens, and a local mycological enthusiast for a Mendocino Mushroom Experience. Reserve your seat at Glendeven's host table for Chef Patrick Meany's delightful Winemaker's Mushroom Dinner featuring local winemakers. Reservations required. 12 people max per night	NOV 5-9 ~ Mushroom Exploration Tours MON - FRI, 10:30am Join a local mycological enthusiast for a foraging walk. Meet in the Stanford Inn lobby for an introductory mushroom talk before heading out to explore the local forests and meadows. $30/person. Children under 16 free. Reservations required. 	North Coast Brewing Co. NOV 7, Fort Bragg Join the Brewmaster for a five-course beer and food pairing dinner at the North Coast Brewing pub. This not-to-be-missed event is one of the highlights of the Beer, Wine & Mushroom Festival!	NOV 7 & 10 ~ Wild Fish Winemaker Dinner Open 6:30pm, DINNER at 7pm Wild Fish kicks off the 2012 Mushroom Festival with a Wild Mushroom, Wild Fish and Winemakers Dinner! Winemaker Jim Klein from Navarro Vineyard will host a six course gourmet feast created by Chef Andrew Riggs paired perfectly with fine Navarro wines. $120 per head for food, wine and gratuity inclusive.
	Mendocino Roots & Ridges: Gallery Bookshop, Mendocino 6:30pm-8pm Presents Mendocino Roots & Ridges: Notes from Americas Greenest Wine Region. Meet author Heidi Cusick Dickerson and photographer Tom Liden for a reading and discussion of their photographic essay collection of the wines and vines of Mendocino County. Richly illustrated with portraits of the land and communities, the essays examine the places and people that make Mendocino County appellations so distinctive.	Mendocino Film Festival NOV 9 - 11, Mendocino Robert Redford, Meryl Streep and Isabelle Allende narrate the definitive film on the history of the environmental movement.
	NOV 9 ~ MUSHROOMS & BEER Little River Inn, LITTLE RIVER Executive Chef Marc Dym creates a multi-course meal featuring a variety of local mushrooms. Each course is paired with the perfect Belgianstyle ale crafted by Russian River Brewing Company brewmaster Vinnie Cilurzo. The chef will discuss dishes that highlight several distinct local mushrooms and serve them with Russian River brews worthy of their cult following.	NOV 9 - Art & Abalone View November's art exhibits while tasting fine Mendocino County wines, enjoying live music and tasting delicious abalone cakes prepared by Little River Inn's Executive Chef Marc Dym, and more. What role do fungi play in ecology? Should you be worried or happy about the mushrooms sprouting in your yard?	NOV 10 ~ Mushroom Excursion Train Jump aboard! Upon arrival at Northspur Station, you will have an opportunity to walk through the magnificent redwood forest with a resident mushroom expert seeking the mysterious and wonderful fungi.
