Taste Mendocino, Celebrating Mendocino's Regional BountyKicks off with a fun weekend of fresh shellfish and wine events beginning in January, on the Mendocino Coast.
The new Flavor Festival combines established Mendocino County events, including Crab & Wine Days, the Wine & Mushroom Festival, and the Alsace Varietals Festival in Anderson Valley.

The first Taste Mendocino Festival weekend kicks off with a Cioppino Dinner in Fort Bragg's Noyo Harbor, the public is invited to the Ninth Annual Crab Cake Cook-off and wine tasting, featuring Mendocino County chefs serving crab cakes made with local Dungeness crab, accompanied by Mendocino County wines . Guests are invited to judge crab cakes and their favorite wine for the People's Choice awards, while celebrity judges choose the professional winners of the Taste Mendocino Festival.

In addition to wine and crab, the Taste Mendocino ~ Regional Flavor Bounty, offers tastings of locally-grown and created products including wild mushrooms, chocolate and even seaweed. Taste Mendocino Seminars are offered on mushroom collecting, food and wine pairing, cooking demonstrations at restaurants throughout the County, winemaker dinners, whale watching and crab fishing expeditions throughout the Taste Mendocino Festival. It all ends with the Alsace Varietals Festival in the Anderson Valley.
