July 3: Fort Bragg Fireworks
Fort Bragg will celebrate with fireworks at Pomo Bluff Park. The Mendocino Coast loves to celebrate all weekend long! So come early, see fireworks on the 3rd of July over the ocean in Fort Bragg, along the ocean side of Pomo Bluffs on Todd's Point at dusk to watch the fireworks!

World's Largest Salmon BBQ

Join the fun at this annual event, sponsored by the Salmon Restoration Association to raise money to take positive action to restore salmon to our rivers and streams. Great food and a love of the outdoors are all part of the atmosphere at the barbeque. Trade fish stories with an "old salt", or join one of our younger attendees in learning about the efforts of the Salmon Restoration Association.
What's on the Menu?
Delicious Grilled Salmon, Fresh Green Salad, Good ole' Corn on the Cob and Garlic Bread...yum! at the World's Largest Salmon BBQ.

Enjoy free music by Local sensation, Kevin and the Coconuts, and feast on hot dogs, sausages, beer, wine and ice cream, while watching the Mendocino parade. Great Family Fun!

4th JULY WEEKEND ~ WillitsWillits Frontier Days is California's oldest continuous rodeo. Plan on throwing your rope around our fun events from the barbecue to the parade, from the gymkhana to the rodeo, from the horse show to the Cutest Little Cowboy & Cowgirl contest, and much, much more.

July 4: Annual Celebration at Friendship Park
The year's biggest fund-raiser will begin immediately following the Mendocino parade and feature three bands including Steven Bates, Rogerwood and Foxglove. There will be food, entertainment and children's activities. Contact Ellen Anderson at 707-964-0897 if you are interested in renting a booth, volunteering or wish to donate to the park.

Mendocino's Annual 4th of July Parade ~ 1 PM
Somewhere around 5000 people (5 times the population!) line the streets of Mendocino (Main St. & Lansing St.) to watch this kooky hometown parade. Come early to get a good spot. Parking is available on any side street, just don't block a driveway.

Audubon Bird Walks: Beginning Birding
Audubon Society Beginning Birding Walk
Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens is a perfect setting for the beginning bird watchers; tour begins at 9:00 am at the Gardens Parking Lot. Tour is included with Gardens admission.
